Anywhere, U.S.A

Growing up in Lorain County, these photographs serve as a vignette encapsulating the way it has felt to continue living and working in an area adjacent to the Rust Belt. Consequently, the way that I have viewed this project has changed and evolved into a much more expansive idea; I quickly realized that many of the images that I was taking looked as if they could be from anywhere in the United States. The concept behind this is, in the wake of the industrial revolution and the settling of these areas, many places began to look more and more alike no matter where they were located. It serves as a look into how though we might be from different places, we are all still connected
in some way.
